Background

Renmore  A.F.C. Soccer Club was founded in 1973 by Mike Darcy; Bernard Shapiro; Tony Dilleen;  Bernard’s two sons Patrick and Bernard Jnr.; Tom Murphy; John Coll; brothers Damien and Paul Meaney; and Paul Gaughan.

Since that year,  Renmore AFC has gone from strength to strength and become one of the main local teams in Galway.  The club has even been able to forward players for Ireland Under 13 and Under 16 trials in recent years.

Mission Statement

Renmore AFC has a primary objective to provide a forum for the young people of Renmore and its environs to safely and positively express themselves and improve themselves through the medium of soccer.

The club and its coaches and committee tries to provide an environment where all members are able to train; develop their abilities; enhance their fitness levels; and play friendly and competitive games - all in a safe and organised manner.  We strive to help every member make the most out of their time with the club and develop their football skills to the maximum of their ability. We also work on helping members develop other aspects of their abilities - confidence, ability to organise, leadership, planning.
