Welcome to Renmore AFC, bringing soccer to Galway since 1973.

Mission Statement

Renmore AFC was founded in 1973 to provide a forum for the young people of Renmore and its environs to safely and positively express themselves and improve themselves through the medium of soccer.

The club and its coaches and committee tries to provide an environment where all members are able to train; develop their abilities; enhance their fitness levels; and play friendly and competitive games - all in a safe and organised manner.

We strive to help every member make the most out of their time with the club and develop their football skills to the maximum of their ability. We also work on helping members develop other aspects of their abilities - confidence, ability to organise, leadership, planning.

Renmore U14s win the inaugural Shapiro U14 Cup!

The Shapiro Cup pre-season soccer tournament was held in Renmore recently. The event which is for under 14 boys attracted  teams from Ballyboro (Longford), St. Francis (Athlone) and Shiven Rovers (Roscommon)  as well as Renmore.

The tournament was an all day event with all teams participating in 4 matches each with a 3rd/4th place play off followed by the final. Shiven Rovers and St. Francis played for 3rd place, with Renmore and Ballyboro reaching the final. After an entertaining game Renmore won out by 5 goals to 3 against the Longford team.

Renmore’s success on the day was inspired by a complete squad performance with great work from Cian Garret, Aaron Moran, Dara Mulgannon and rock solid at the back Eoin O’Donovan who won player of the tournament.

Niall Murphy (chairman) presented the medals and awards with Bernard Shapiro one of the founders of the club presenting the winners with the cup. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
