New Scoreboard feature
Renmore AFC has been working with Sportsmanger, the web design agency, to develop a new scoreboard feature so you can keep track of our fixtures, results and tables. Click here to view the scoreboard.

This is built into the Renmore AFC website and should make it easier to keep tabs on what's coming up and how we are doing. Please  take a look and see what you think. Our thanks to Sportsmanager for their help with this new feature.

We are also planning to use the scoreboard for sponsorship.  All of our players and many of their families will be looking at this section weekly.  Its a great opportunity for our sponsors to connect with club members and their families to advertise their business or any new offers.

You can contact Tom Hurley on 087 7729089 to discuss rates and design if you wish to advertise on our scoreboard. Thanks.

Annual Mayors Awards
The club would like to congratulate Donal Tarpy on being nominated for an award at the Galway City Credit Union's Volunteer of the Year at the Seventh Annual Mayors Award for 2009.

Although Donal didn't get the award, the nomination rightfuly recognises the valuable and important work he does and has done for many years. Donal has been hugely important in working with the Ladies Team to develop Ladies and Girls Soccer in Renmore AFC. We're delighted at his nomination and hope he wins next year! Well done Donal!

The club would also like to congratulate Rrenmore Residents Association on receiving an award. This was due recognition for their work and follows on nicely after their marking 70 years last year. Well done to all involved.

The Clubhouse is open!!
The Renmore AFC Clubhouse opened (unofficially) last weekend (24th January) and the dressing rooms were be available to those teams playing at home.

We were delighted at the expression of support and clearly, everyone was impressed by our new development. The clubhouse will be open every Saturday for home games through the season. Please feel free to come down and look around.

Our thanks to all that turned up to look around and support us.  The committee would particularly like to thank the ladies for keeping the sandwiches, teas and coffees flowing. It was very much appreciated.

This is not the official opening as we still have lots of work to do in the building, mainly upstairs, but we said we'd like to make it available for use in January. This was the last Winter that Renmore players have to tog-out in the open!

Check out the photo gallery for photos of the day (and the night before!).

The Clubhouse is open!!

We're very excited with the progress we've made with the clubhouse and hope you agree that this is a great development for the club.  We're delighted to welcome anyone that wants to come in and say hi.  The clubhouse is open on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.

Our next focus is on getting all of our members using the clubhouse, completing any outstanding work on the ground floor and we will also work on finishing the first floor as soon as we can. There is still a lot to do and we would appreciate if people could help us out with time or skills they have. We would particularly appreciate help from any tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters/decoraters, builders, etc) but any time you can spare for the club is appreciated. Even if its only one of two hours a week or evey couple of weeks, its all helpful.

We are also looking for any working and usable furniture or office/kitchen equipment you might have to spare which you could donate.

Please don't hesitate to give us a call if you want to help out or donate anything. We will advise on next steps.
